Here at Enso Energy we are keen to support the next generation of engineering talent as we contribute to the Net Zero target. We were immensely proud of our Work Experience GCSE student Esme Thompson who spent a week with us in June 2021. She had never worked in an office before, knew very little […]
Green Investment Group and Enso Energy form joint venture to develop large UK solar and battery portfolio
Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (GIG) and Enso Energy have announced they are working together in a UK solar development joint venture.
We have achieved a significant milestone with the news this week of planning consent for our site in Oswestry, Shropshire. The granting of planning permission for the gas-powered power plant in Shropshire has increased our portfolio of consented sites to over 300MW of battery and gas peaking facilities.
It’s great to see the sites that we developed in partnership with Arlington Energy move in to construction. Since we started working together in 2017, we have delivered nearly 300MW of consented battery storage and gas peaking projects, with more to come in the coming weeks and months.
Enso Energy has resubmitted their planning application to Stratford-on-Avon District Council for a gas peaking electricity generation facility at Croft Lane/Stratford Rd, near Alcester.
Enso Energy welcomes the decision by the Planning Inspectorate to grant approval for its fast response electricity generation facility at Peterlee, Durham. The decision comes after Durham County Council twice refused applications for the development, and highlights fundamental flaws in the planning process in the UK.
Enso Energy, one of the UK’s most experienced energy developers, has reached a notable milestone this week with another three sites being awarded planning consent.
Two of Enso Energy’s developed projects have been sold to our strategic joint venture partners Arlington Energy.
The two sites, one a 40MW energy storage site in Bedford and the other a gas peaking site on Chesterfield Road, Rotherham, will now be constructed by Arlington Infrastructure Ltd.
