Enso Energy achieves over 300MW of consented sites
We have achieved a significant milestone with the news this week of planning consent for our site in Oswestry, Shropshire. The granting of planning permission for the gas-powered power plant in Shropshire has increased our portfolio of consented sites to over 300MW of battery and gas peaking facilities.
Construction begins on Bedford battery storage site

Planning approval granted for our site at Peterlee, Durham
Enso Energy welcomes the decision by the Planning Inspectorate to grant approval for its fast response electricity generation facility at Peterlee, Durham. The decision comes after Durham County Council twice refused applications for the development, and highlights fundamental flaws in the planning process in the UK.

Enso Energy sells two sites to strategic partners
Two of Enso Energy’s developed projects have been sold to our strategic joint venture partners Arlington Energy.
The two sites, one a 40MW energy storage site in Bedford and the other a gas peaking site on Chesterfield Road, Rotherham, will now be constructed by Arlington Infrastructure Ltd.
