Planning permission has been granted by the Welsh Ministers for our Alaw Môn project on Anglesey.
Ministers agreed with the Planning Inspector’s recommendation to approve the application, noting the scheme’s significant contribution to renewable energy generation, and alignment with Wales’ renewable energy targets and climate objectives.
This important milestone in the project’s development is the culmination of a lot of hard work from the Enso Energy team, our JV partners Cero Generation, along with the team of specialists and advisors supporting the project.
This is the 28th successful planning application for the Enso/Cero partnership, delivering projects with a combined capacity exceeding 4.2GW, making a very significant contribution to the UK’s energy transition.
This project will be receiving a Gate 2 Phase 1 Connection Offer – confirming that the project is both ready to progress and aligned with the UK Government’s Clean Power Action Plan. We look forward to receiving the Connection Offer imminently as a key requirement of the ongoing development of the project.
