Communities
At Enso Energy, we believe renewable energy should do more than generate clean power. It should strengthen local communities, inspire the next generation, and leave the land in a better state than we found it.
Where we work, we aim to be a positive, long-term presence – listening first, acting responsibly, and investing in people and places.
How we work with communities
Renewable energy developments are carefully regulated to protect people, landscapes, and wildlife. We welcome that. But good development is about more than meeting requirements – it’s about trust, openness, and doing the right thing.
That’s why we take time to understand local needs and concerns, involve communities early, and shape our projects carefully. We screen sites thoughtfully, avoid unsuitable locations, and invest extra time and resource to get designs right.
From first contact through to operation, we aim to be approachable, transparent, and respectful.
If we identify suitable land near you, we will:
- Work with the local authority to assess environmental and planning requirements
- Introduce ourselves clearly and early through local communications
- Hold community consultation events so you can ask questions and share feedback before any planning application is submitted
We believe clean energy should feel like something done with communities, not to them.

Creating Wider Benefits
A solar project changes how land is used – but it can also unlock long-term benefits that reach far beyond clean electricity.

Inspiring young people and future skills
We want renewable energy to be a source of excitement and opportunity. Near our projects, we work with schools and young people to spark interest in science, engineering, nature, and the skills needed for a low-carbon future. Clean energy is part of a hopeful story – and young people deserve to feel part of it.
Improving biodiversity and the land
Alongside the climate challenge, the UK faces a biodiversity crisis. Our solar sites are designed to restore habitats, improve soil health, and create space for wildlife to thrive over decades. With the right management, land can become richer in nature, not poorer.
Supporting local initiatives
We support local community initiatives close to our projects – from education and wellbeing to environmental and social causes. Our aim is simple: communities should see real, tangible benefits from hosting renewable energy.
A shared future
By making the most of our natural resources, cutting reliance on imported fuels, and investing locally, renewable energy can be a source of pride and progress.
Our hope is that when you see an Enso Energy project, you see care for the land, opportunity for people, and confidence in a cleaner, more sustainable future.
