Enso Energy is pleased to confirm that the Helios Renewable Energy Project has received consent from the Secretary of State for Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Helios is a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project adding a material volume of solar PV capacity to the UK’s energy mix. The project also includes battery storage, providing flexibility to balance supply and demand.
Bill Rees, Managing Director of Enso Energy, commented:
“We are delighted to receive confirmation that this project has received Secretary of State consent. It is an important project to deliver the UK Government’s Clean Power 2030 targets and support the UK’s transition to home-grown renewable power.”
The consent for this project brings the total number developed through the Enso Energy and Cero Generation joint venture to 27, making a substantial contribution to the UK’s energy transition and ambitions for a renewable-based energy system. This is a proud milestone for the business and the project.
